Richmond, VA * February 8, 2014 – CTS Received The Virginia ESL Supervisor’s Association (VESA) “Making a World of Difference” award at the organization’s annual conference. The award marks CTS’s fifth consecutive year of generous sponsorship and support of English Language Learners throughout the Commonwealth.
“Chester Technical Services has generously sponsored our conference, year after year,” said VESA Vice President and Exhibitor Coordinator, Courtney Stewart. “In so doing, CTS has made it possible for us to continue to offer college scholarships and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas that clarify the place of ESL in our schools and in our lives. Their ongoing support indeed makes a world of difference and offers the potential to change lives.”
VESA is an educational organization that promotes the academic achievement of English Language Learners in grades K-12. Their purpose is to promote best practice in teaching of English as a Second Language (ESL) and to offer scholarships for post-secondary education to English Language Learners (ELLs).
VESA’s annual conference takes place in early February in Richmond. “CTS’s representative, Bob Grewal, has been a steady presence at our conference and has brought to the attention of our participants quality products and concepts. For that we are grateful,” said VESA President Megan Moore.
CTS president Douglas F. Rice stated, “Chester Technical Services is honored to receive an award that marks CTS’ fifth year of sponsorship and support of the VESA Association. We recognize that support goes beyond selling, servicing, and training of our SANS and Sony Language Lab technology. Supporting the VESA Association and other language professional organizations in our region brings us closer to the teaching community that we serve with our technology products.”
